In my last blog I wrote about our trip home to Germany. While I was in Altenburg, I was also lucky that my my dear friend Anja happened to be visiting her parents. I don't see her often and I miss her so much!!! We used to work together in Leipzig, which is also where we met. But now, Anja lives in Switzerland and I live here, hence we don't get the chance to meet up enough! Although, seeing her at Christmas was the second time this year as we spent a few days in Istanbul together, yeah! So expect another blog on Istanbul :-)
So, we photographed Anja and her family as a special Christmas treat for Anja's parents.. We went to the Teehaus in Altenburg, a very beautiful building in baroque style from the 18th century, which is part of the castle complex. Hehe, when I was a teenager we used to go there dancing/clubbing. That seems now like an eternity away...
Anja's very special Christmas present for her parents this year, family photography, is something you treasure even more when the children have moved so far away. So while you may not have your family close, if you have beautiful images around your house, may that be on a wall or on your mantle piece, it brings them just that little closer to you. Of course it can't replace being with your loved ones, but it may comfort you when your daughter or grandson or whomever you miss, smiles back at you from your picture on the wall. I can't wait to hear how Anja's parents placed the images on the wall.
Anja's daughter and son were so sweet, right little posers!!! Just cute!
